How do you feel when you see groups of Jehovah's Witnesses in the ministry?

how about sadness, sorrow, sympathy, understanding, even compassion!.
it can be quite confusing at times, especially if some of those witnesses were your friends.

I knew I would eventually get DF'd but it wasn't about patience ,although the JC's coming up required spades of it, as well as extreme restraint.
It was about trying to wake up my brother and others but ,sadly he's still in, but from what I hear deeply troubled.
It was worth it to listen to the supposed reasoning from the "Glorious ones". Made me see how right it was to be no part of it.

Hi Rhoda,
It's great to see you on the forum. I hope that that you are doing ok. I often think about how things are going for you these days since you left the JWs. I think that it was a very brave thing that you did when you left as it can't have been easy as I know your folks are hardline in their treatment of you. I said for years after you left to anyone that would listen that it was wrong.
Anyway now I'm out . I got DF'd for "apostasy" at the turn of the year and your Dad was on my JC!!!!! lol.
Regarding your plans for a reunion.....We're going to Laura's do next saturday!

Well lisa it the JC. part of this series WAS going to be covertly filmed with the assistance of a national U.K. broadcaster, but unfortunately it didn't work out due to timing issues. They were making a program about persons leaving JWs and needed someone who was going through it currently.
They came and interviewed me , took an hour or so of interview footage and it was going to the head of production for the go ahead. but needless to say Judicial matters don't wait for tv companies to approve budgets etc and the moment passed.
It would have been mega but I'm happy with what I have. As far as I'm aware no Jw has got audio from 1st visit- --2nd visit--- - judicial--- appeal meeting-. on the internet so far.
Hope it has the desired effect.

Yiz I'm sorry to learn that is a problem for you. Unfortunately I do not have the resources i.e. time, to make a transcript of all the audio as it's just too much material and I work full time. I did make some for my own personal use at the judicial meetings to avoid showing my hand that the previous visits had been recorded.
There are a few written blog posts I have put up on the site which cover some of the things dicussed at the time and I will add more in the future.
I hope to cover all the topics in written form that will be in the entire series of podcasts which is not yet complete.

If anyone with a good ear and fast typing skills feels up to the job of doing transcripts for me then great.

by Hobo Ken ini was speaking to a family member who is still a jw in very good standing and she told me that last week she was told by an elder of very good repute in my old congregation this:-.
he has been told that any of the current governing body when they die will not be replaced!!!!!!!!!!.
i cannot even begin to take this in!.

Moshe I like that line of reasoning...
Take for example broadcasting. The BBC and other networks used to broadcast overtly racist, sexist and masogenist material in decades gone by,some in the name of humour. Nowadays none of the above would get past the censors let alone the lawyers.
Lot's of truly mental stuff managed to make it into the publications in the past, something they cannot erase. It's all much more carefully monitered now of course.
It was many of these ridiculous teachings and statemants that woke me up. My screenname is based on one!
Now what appears in the wt is all very polished although just as much nonsense.
When you have a look through the "pay attention " book the advice to "contact the legal dept" is punctuated all the way through it , and this book is 20 years old at least.
Could it be that the wts will become so terrified of it's own shadow in a legal sense that they will streamline the organisation of any doctrines that could lead to litigation and disruption?
After all it is a business. Why would they want to harm sale$$$. We could end up with "the greatest corporation" in the world filled with a bunch of "corporate" Christians.
